Coal mining scam: CBI team arrives at Mamata Banerjee’s nephew’s home in Kolkata | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) group on Tuesday arrived at Trinamool Congress chief Abhishek Banerjee’s house in Kolkata to query his spouse Rujira Banerjee within the alleged unlawful coal mining rip-off.
Ahead of the CBI group’s arrival, West Bengal chief mister Mamata Banerjee had paid a go to to her nephew Abhishek’s house at Harish Mukherjee Road in Kolkata.

On Monday, Rujira Banerjee Naroola had advised CBI that its officers may go to her at her Harish Mukherjee Road house the subsequent day between 11 am and three pm.
Rujira had mentioned that she “was unaware” of why she was being questioned and didn’t know the “subject matter” of the investigation.
The CBI on Sunday served Rujira and her sister, Gambhir, summons to query them within the unlawful coal-mining case probe.
On Monday, CBI had questioned Gambhir at her house in Panchasayar complicated, Kolkata, the place she spoke to the CBI officers on her personal.

West Bengal Coal mining rip-off
The company had registered an FIR final November, mentioning six individuals: prime suspect Anup Maji and 5 officers of a nationalised mining firm.
