Farmers’ protest: MHA extends RAF’s stay in UP till February 26 | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Union Home Ministry has prolonged deployment of Rapid Action Force until February 26 resulting from farmers’ agitation to keep up regulation and order in Uttar Pradesh.
The Congress Party is organising Kisan Panchayats in 28 districts of Western Uttar Pradesh to boost a voice in opposition to the farm legal guidelines and to help farmers’ demand to repeal them. Party normal secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will maintain Kisan panchayat in UP’s Mathura on Tuesday.
Farmers have been protesting on the totally different borders of the nationwide capital since November final 12 months, in opposition to the three newly enacted farm legal guidelines – Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020; the Farmers Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and farm Services Act 2020 and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
The Central authorities had supplied to place the farm legal guidelines “on maintain” for 12-18 months, a suggestion rejected by the farmers’ unions protesting in opposition to the legal guidelines.
Several rounds of talks have been held with farmers over their demand for the repeal of three new legal guidelines in opposition to which farmers have been protesting at Delhi borders for practically three months.
