Mumbai Police to Take Action Against Auto and Taxi Drivers Refusing Short-Distance Fares

Mumbai Site visitors Police will take strict motion towards autorickshaw and taxi drivers who refuse quick distance fares for individuals within the metropolis. In an order issued, the visitors personnel have been requested to take motion towards autorickshaws and taxis drivers who refuse quick distance fares and search for lengthy distance rides.

Notices and signboards concerning the order have already been positioned at bus stops and railway stations, an official stated. Officers have been requested to behave instantly as and when complaints have been obtained about autorickshaw and taxi drivers, he stated.

As soon as complaints are obtained, motion will likely be taken towards errant drivers underneath the Motor Autos Act, the official stated. Aside from this, a gathering will likely be organised to sensitise drivers to behave nicely with residents and help in a trouble free commute and police officers will likely be sensitised as nicely, he added.
