An earthquake of 5.9 magnitude jolted Afghanistan on Thursday and robust tremors had been felt in Delhi and surrounding areas.
There was no speedy report of any harm to anybody or harm to any property.
The earthquake hit the Hindu Kush Area of Afghanistan round 7:55 p.m. The epicentre was 79 km south of Fayzabad in Afghanistan at a depth of 200 km.
This was the second time in every week that Delhi was jolted by an earthquake. On January 1, an earthquake of magnitude 3.8 struck Jhajjar in Haryana and tremors had been felt in Delhi and surrounding areas.
