Kanpur District Magistrate has dismissed a clerk from providers after he was allegedly discovered responsible of issuing 88 arms licences by utilizing scanned signature of senior officers. Additional District Magistrate, Kanpur, Atul Kumar confirmed that District Magistrate Alok Tiwari has dismissed Tiwari from providers on numerous fees. Tiwari was beneath suspension since 2019 when the racket was busted.
City Magistrate, Kanpur, Himanshu Rathor mentioned it was discovered 88 arms licences had been issued with out the approval of then District Magistrate Vijay Vishwas Pant and different officers involved. Scanned signature of officers, together with District Magistrate, had been used on these licences issued in 2018-19, he added.
The licences had been declared faux by the inquiry committee and a case in opposition to Tiwari and his affiliate was lodged in Kanpur, mentioned Rathor. He added that Tiwari was holding the cost of arms division when these faux licences had been issued.
