Court Grants Bail to AAP MLA Amanatullah’s Close Aide Hamid Ali Khan

A Delhi courtroom on Wednesday granted bail to Aam Aadmi Celebration MLA Amanatullah Khan’s shut aide Hamid Ali Khan, who was arrested after a raid by the Anti-Corruption Department final week. Based on officers, an unlicensed weapon, Rs 12 lakh money, and a few cartridges have been present in Ali’s premises.

Metropolitan Justice of the Peace Snehil Sharma granted reduction to Khan, saying the accused has been in custody since September 16, and no additional restoration was effected from him. All of the witnesses within the case have been police witnesses, and a cost sheet or a supplementary cost sheet within the case will take appreciable time, the courtroom stated.

“…Additionally accused is well-routed in society and he’s no extra required for the aim of investigation associated to this case and having regard to the character of offence and interval of punishment this courtroom grants bail to accused Hamid Ali Khan as additional custody won’t serve any goal,” it stated. The courtroom then directed the accused to furnish a bail bond of Rs 25,000, together with two sureties of like quantity.

Different circumstances of the bail embody that of the accused showing earlier than the investigating officer and the courtroom, not providing inducement or extending risk to prosecution witnesses, and never leaving the territory of India. The Jamia Nagar police station had registered the FIR in opposition to Hamid Ali below the related provisions of the Arms Act.
