5G Tablets Fuel Growing Demand In India This Year: All Details

The India pill market grew 22 per cent quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) within the September quarter, with 5G-capable pill shipments rising 61 per cent, a brand new report confirmed on Monday.

In line with knowledge from CMR’s ‘Pill PC Market Report’, Samsung (28 per cent), Lenovo (26 per cent) and Apple (19 per cent) captured the highest three spots within the pill market in Q3.

“Shipments of 5G tablets continued to achieve power in Q3 2022. That is pushed by the current 5G auctions and the start of the 5G period. The expansion in 5G Tablets is in line with the developments seen within the 5G smartphone market,” stated Menka Kumari, Analyst, Trade Intelligence Group (IIG), CMR.

Cargo of tablets with 8-inch shows constituted 43 per cent of the general shipments within the home market. Samsung tab A8 (Wi-Fi + 4G) and tab A7 Lite (Wi-Fi + 4G) had 25 per cent and 18 per cent market shares respectively. Samsung shipments recorded 83 per cent QoQ progress in Q3.

Lenovo Tab M8 (HD) (Wi-Fi+4G) and Lenovo Tab M8 (HD) (Wi-Fi) collection had a 32 per cent and 17 per cent market share, respectively, primarily within the Worth for Cash pill (Rs 7,000-Rs 25,000) phase. Apple iPad 9 (Wi-Fi) and Apple iPad Air 2022 (Wi-Fi) had a 57 per cent and 15 per cent market share respectively, adopted by Apple iPad Professional 2021 (Wi-Fi) and Apple iPad Air 2022 (Wi-Fi).

CMR stated that pill PC shipments are set to develop at a wholesome 10-15 per cent in 2022.

“As we transfer forward, we’ll see 5G-capable tablets to underline the market progress, particularly in training, healthcare, hospitality and manufacturing segments,” stated Menka.
