Three folks had been injured Saturday afternoon after a Cal Hearth helicopter crashed in a residential space within the Southern California metropolis of Banning, authorities stated. No houses had been struck by the helicopter, CBS Los Angeles realized.

The helicopter was making an attempt to land at Banning Municipal Airport when it crashed, the Cal Hearth/Riverside County Hearth Division confirmed to CBSLA. 

Three folks had been extricated from the helicopter and hospitalized with average accidents, CAL Hearth stated. All three had been taken to a neighborhood trauma heart.

The circumstances of the crash had been unclear. There was no phrase on a trigger. Banning is positioned about 80 miles east of Los Angeles. 

The downed helicopter was returning to base after being utilized to battle the Fairview Fire in Hemet, which has burned greater than 28,300 acres and was 40% contained as of Saturday night. 

Two folks have died on account of the blaze and 13 constructions have been destroyed, in keeping with Cal Hearth. 

The Fairview Hearth is one of several large fires burning on the West Coast amid scorching scorching temperatures and dry situations.
