UK flights to renew Jan 8; simply 15 every week till Jan 23

The formal order saying the resumption of flights can be issued late on Friday or early on Saturday, a senior official on the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) stated. The regulator was ready for inputs from the Health Ministry on the rules to be issued to airports and airways, the official stated. Mandatory RT-PCR testing is prone to be a requirement for everybody arriving from the UK.

Flights had been initially suspended till December 31, and the suspension was then prolonged till January 7.
